Curly horses are gentle, easy to train and versatile - succeeding in a variety of disciplines including
dressage, show jumping, working cattle, and endurance racing. Extensive research is currently being
conducted on the Curly gene, as there is much to learn about this extraordinary horse breed. Texas A&M University is doing
a genome project on rare breed horses and DCC Traveler was selected to be one of the 15 Curly stallions to participate in
this project. DDD Mark & Elisabeth Mattke 509-891-9353

What is a Curly Horse? Well, to me, they look like a poodle on steroids. Curly Horses generally have curly body hair, but not always, and they have curly manes and tails. They shed their
body hair curls and slick out in the summer months, and get curly again in the winter. Some shed their mane and tails and
others done. The ones that do are considered Extreme curlies. DDDDD Po Box 58 New Pine Creek, Oregon 97630 530-946-0803
