Basset Hound
The Basset Hound is a short-legged breed of dog of the hound family. They are scent hounds, bred to hunt
rabbits by scent. Their sense of smell for tracking is second only to that of the Bloodhound. The name Basset is derived from
the French word bas, meaning "low", with the attenuating suffix -et, together meaning "rather low". The
Basset Hound is seen as an especially friendly breed.

Our FAMILY RAISED, AKC Quality Basset Hounds Puppies are whelped and raised the first week in our
home. Mom and her pups, are moved to a warm, clean, and dry "Nursery Room" in our barn at one week of age. Pups
are acclimated slowly to outside Puppy Kennels at 5 to 6 weeks of age, depending on the weather. We raise our Puppies and
Adult Dogs as natural as we know how, with the least amount of chemicals possible. Terese Longview, WA 98632 (360)274-0101
