Alpaca is a domesticated species of South American camelid. Alpacas are considerably smaller than llamas,
and unlike llamas, alpacas were not bred to be beasts of burden but were bred specifically for their fiber. Alpaca fiber is
used for making knitted and woven items, much as wool is. In the textile industry, "alpaca" primarily refers to
the hair of Peruvian alpacas, but more broadly it refers to a style of fabric originally made from alpaca hair.

We are a small alpaca farm located near Gig Harbor, the most beautiful small town in Washington State.
The main stud we have been using for the past couple of years is a white boy with great genetics, who
gets the brown that he has been throwing in his crias from his sire, Michelangelo. His dam is a white daughter of Hemingway,
who maintained fine fiber at an advanced age.DDD Matt Williams & John Strasinger 930 SE Oak Road Port Orchard, WA 253.851.5771 ALP001

We have found it to be even more so when raising
these small camilids. Unlike their larger kin llamas, who can be used for backpacking trips, alpacas are kept for their valuable
fiber. Caring for animals isn't for everyone, but those who know, don't need any more persuading. Alpacas are a real
joy, our next adventure. Alpaca Adventures make our hearts sing. DDDD Kathy & John Yaeger 15775 Beaver Marsh Rd.
