What is the difference between a Barbados Blackbelly sheep and an American Blackbelly sheep? There is
much confusion on the Web about what sheep is called by what name. Here is the short answer: Barbados Blackbelly rams and
ewes are polled (they have no horns). In contrast, American Blackbelly rams are horned and the ewes may or may not have horns.
We started out very small and not knowing a whole lot of anything about our Black Belly Barbs. We have
grown to love this breed through the several years we have owned them and have learned a great deal along the way. We would
like to work up to amassing a small list of clients that would like to be on our list for meat lambs. If you are interested
in breeding stock we would be more than happy to try and help you with that as well. Please call any time!
